System Settings

A user with the role of Manager can update the system settings by selecting the System Settings tab.  Values for expiration and warning periods can be edited from this screen.  The IQSweb interface uses these values to notify the user of items that are close to expiring or have expired.

Steps to edit Expiration & Warning Periods

Existing expiration and warning periods within IQS can be edited.

 

    1. Place your cursor over Administration and left click on the tab System Settings.

    2. Find the expiration or warning period  that you would like to edit and enter a new value in the cell.

    3. Use your Tab key on your computer keyboard to navigate through the fields or left click on each individual field.

    4. Click on the Save Settings button to complete saving your changes.

 

Qualification expiration warning period in months

The value entered is used in the Certifications/Qualifications screen to display a YELLOW cell background warning flag for qualifications that will expire within the number of months of the value entered.  For example if a persons qualification expires next month, and the warning period is set to 12 months, the background of the expiration date cell for that qualification will be YELLOW.

 

Fitness certification period in months

The value entered is used in the Person/Org screen to calculate the Fitness Expiration Date based on the date entered in the Fitness Effective Date.  

 

Fitness expiration warning period in months

The value entered is used in the Certifications/Qualifications screen to display a YELLOW cell background warning flag if the person's fitness will expire within the number of months of the value entered.  For example if a persons fitness expires in 1 month, and the warning period is set to 6 months, the background of the expiration date cell for their fitness will be YELLOW.

 

Task Book certification period in months

The value is used in the Certifications/Task Books screen to calculate the task book expiration date based on the date entered in the Task Book Initiated Date.

 

Task Book expiration warning period in months

The value entered is used in the Certifications/Task Books screen to display a YELLOW cell background warning flag if the person's task book will expire within the number of months of the value entered.  For example if a persons task book expires in 3 months, and the warning period is set to 6 months, the background of the expiration date cell for that task book will be YELLOW.

 

Annual Refresher Training expiration warning period in months

This warning is only for refresher training that is required annually.  The value entered is used in the Certifications/Training screen to display a YELLOW cell background warning flag if the person's annual refresher training will expire within the number of months of the value entered.  For example if a persons refresher training expires in 1 month, and the warning period is set to 6 months, the background of the training completed date cell for that course will be YELLOW.

 

Refresher Training expiration warning period in months

This warning is for all refresher training that is required to be taken every 2 or more years.  The value entered is used in the Certifications/Training screen to display a YELLOW cell background warning flag if the person's refresher training will expire within the number of months of the value entered.  For example if a persons Refresher Training expires in 1 month, and the warning period is set to 6 months, the background of the training completed date cell for that course will be YELLOW.

 

Ignore fitness in determining person's qualifications

This value is used by IQSweb to either apply or not apply fitness requirements when determining person's qualification currency.  The value must be either Y or N.  A value of N means that fitness will be used to determine if a person's qualification is current throughout IQSweb including printing qualifications on the Incident Qualification Card and sending qualifications to ROSS.  A value of Y means that fitness is NOT taken into consideration when determining if a person's qualification is current.

 

Password duration

The value entered here is applied to all users of the IQSweb system in calculating when their current password will expire and they will be required to enter a new password.
